(Preview)
Looking into an aluminum 3 row rad for my 64 beaumont, i want it to look like an original shape tank, so i am looking at this one by KKS. I know nothing about them, anyone have one? also, still using OEM green coolant with it? i am sure there are cheaper junk ones, but this one is the only style with the nice...

1964 Beaumont Engine Code
(Preview)
Hi: I am looking at a 1964 Beaumont that has either engine code "TV281874" or TY281874" the second number is hard to read. The owner was told that the motor was orginal, but I thought it should have a 289 C.I. chevy most. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks Bruce

I'll give a little run down on what happened last week and where I'm at now. Took the car for a 5 minute drive and 15 minutes later when I left the car it started but stalled when I was backing out. Thought it was still cool so I gave it a couple pumps with no luck. Turned her over some more with a couple more p...

I can't get my tranny to kickdown and I suspect the linkage I have may be a homemade job. I have enclosed a picture if anyone has seen this kind of setup before let me know.

327 Ram Horn exhaust manifold knowledge requested...
(Preview)
I had my '66 Beaumont at a car show this evening. A fella asked me why I had removed the factory Ram Horn exhaust manifolds. I indicated that I had not, and that the current manifolds were in fact the originals. If memory serves me, I believe that unlike the Nova's, there is a clearance issue with the Ram...

66 Beaumont headers
(Preview)
Want to buy a new set of headers for my 66 Beaumont with small block and 4 speed . Any recommendations? Input on installing and fitting? I was thinking of Hedman or Doug's. Would like some mid length ones for more ground clearance but don't think I can with the 4 speed clutch linkage?

Tried this question on a couple of Chevelle sites but no answers. Hoping maybe one of you Beaumont guys know the answer. Trying to decipher anything out of a engine ID stamping of 21 (space) 6634224. I know the engine was removed from a 66 SD that I took off the road in 72. The casting number is 3858180. Any...

Had my engine rebuilt and now looking for the final touches to put it back in the car. Having trouble properly identifying a part name and source. At the top back of the block next to the distributor mounting hole there is another hole, crankcase vent hole ?, into which mounts a crude form of PCV valve. Fr...

Where are you guys running your fuel filters?
(Preview)
I had the fuel filter before the fuel pump when I was running the six and have seen many with the filter up near the carb. Was wondering if there is any advantages one way versus the other. I know on my son's old 350 in his truck the filter would heat up pretty good here in the summer and the gas would be boili...

How much force should it take to move the fuel pump rod?
(Preview)
I bought a new fuel pump last week for my 283 and it takes major push to move the rod. With my old ones I could push it with my hand without much difficulty but this one I have to grab it and push it down against the bench. Is that normal or is this stiffer than what it should be? I'd appreciate an expert opini...
