I'm looking for a set of nice rally rims for my step-father's 67 Camaro convertible. It's a base Camaro with a 327 and upgraded disk brakes.. At the recent London Swap Meet, I spoke to a number of vendors about this and I got alot of conflicting advice.
Some say 15X6 disk brake rims are the way to go. Others swear by 15X7 and even some say 14 inch rims should be used. I don't want to fork out 400 + dollars for something not right.
Does anyone here have experience with this type of setup ? He wants the car to ride nice, without fat tires and still look original.
If you want to be correct for 67 camaro DB set up it would be 14 x 5 Rally for non SS cars and 14 x 6 for SS models. 67 Camaro z28 would have been 15 x 6. It comes down to personal taste if its a driver.
If you go 15 x 6 ,, I have a set off of a 69 pontiac full size that need a new home.... ( bare rims) . obviously won't be date correct, and a different offset than 67 15x 6 z'd wheels.
