radiator re-core

Had my dual core '66 rad re-cored by a small Edmonton Ma+Pa shop.  They've apparently been around since 1951.  The outfit is called Reliable Radiator Services (780) 476 0895.  They put in a triple core.  They were quick, resonably priced, and did a very nice job with it.  I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.  Thought I'd sharesmile

Refreshing to hear. Hopefully it's good quality. I have seen a lot of imported junk for sale when you order a complete rad. We've had some at work that we sent back without even trying in the vehicle, the poor quality was so painfully obvious.

Same with the heater cores too...

Yeah, the repro that I originally picked up and was assured was an exect replacement, was not. Different size, hose locations etc. Also of concern was that it was made in China. As a result, it went back to the seller (who was very good at returning it.)
The bummer is that my original rad cap, that said made in Canada looks like it is done. Any one know if there are replacements that are made in Canada (or should I start another thread?)

I would almost bet there is some dealers still have an old one around. If I think of it (more like if work isn't a zoo AGAIN tomorrow!) I will do some scouting!

Thx Carl. I'll check around here as well, as it just seems wrong putting anything other than "made in Canada" on it...
