he called the other night looking for one-he asked about documented small block SD cars-he was looking for big block but did specifically ask about small blocks in SD's-this might fit his bill-give him a call or e-mail

736 is the first 3 letters in the vin for either a custom or 'sports optioned' sd car... the convertible is a documented 736 sd w/283 2sp ...if my memory serves me correct we know of one 736sd sbc convertible and 2 736sd bbc convertibles that have been mentioned on this site...and i think seven 738 convertibles...
i was trying be humorous that they are all very very rare.... i even almost made a deal on one of the 736bbc convertibles out of SK where i was going to buy it without the bbc in it (not original anyways) because i thought it was an sd convertible clone by the vin #, i never knew they made sports optioned convertibles, bbc or sbc!
I agree in that it is a very rare car,, just notin the facts.
I would most likely jump all over that 67 if I didn't have my fingers so deep into a 70 lemans sport convertable resto. that and the 67 GTO that I've been collecting parts for, aaaanddd the other half dozen projects awaiting the time and energy...
did I mention the 68 SD ( non original engine ) ,,these things take time ( and a pile of cash )
