Hopefully Al will see your post. He is our resident 55 guru.

Welcome here and I'm jealous. While I'm not much of a 5-6-7 Chevy guy, I love the Canadian Pontiacs of those years.

I can't stand driving a 6 cylinder but I'd be willing to make an exception for that one!

There are at least 7 that I know of. 4 in Ontario, one in the east coast and one in BC and one in the US. Of the six only one is an all original car that is unrestored with original paint. The last time it was for sale the owner felt it was worth $50,000 Can. I did not see the car personally but saw quite a few pics of it. I decoded it and it still had the original 265 powerglide and it looked to be totally rust free and original paint.  The car was in BC most of its life so rust free is a good possibility. If I had the money that is the one I would want. It was the only one I have heard of with that V8/PG combination and the red / white colour. I have the production numbers and will look it up and post the numbers latter.

As far as a survival rate the the 2 door Pathfinder stationwagon are the rarest and hardest to find. Being a work vehicle they were pretty well used. The second rarest is the Sedan Delivery with a couple of them on this site.

There are also at least 2 55 Chev convertibles that have been converted from 55 Pontiac Laurentians. I bought most of the disguarded pontiac parts from one of the conversions. It would be even easier to do today with all the sheetmetal available from CARS. All a person would need is a 55 chev doner car for the dashboard.

If you do not purchase the car I would like to get a chance at seeing it. If you do buy it or are really interested in it get the numbers off the data plate and I will decode it for you.

Al
