Very Neat. This is one of those "you learn something new everyday" moments...the '66 427 was marketed as the Jet Flame, I never knew that.

Very cool and nice proof the L72 was available in '66 B'Body Ponchos!.

Obviously no L72's available in '67 (like the Chevys) but is there any '68 or '69 Brochures that note it?.

Have you posted a '68 Brochure too?.

Viewing the '69 Brochure, the L36 is the top unit listed...but the L72 may have been available?.
Anyone know of any real '66-'69 L72 B'Body Pontiacs?.

We have 67.68.69 in the  Library    only 385 in 67.68  and 335+390 in 69

Notice the typo in the sales literature? 4 speed manual is available with the 327, 395 and 427 V8 !!!

Also the "fully syncronized 3 speed manual transmission" illustrated is anything but!

That's an old grind-into-low-gear unit pictured!

Interesting. It says the Strato Bench seat is available on Sport Sedan only. I know that is not true as my automatic car (Sport Coupe) had it. It could not have been put into my car from a Sport Sedan before I got it because the coupe seat backs fold forward and the sedan seat backs don't.

Also, I never knew the Strato Bench was only black or fawn.

I love the way the drivers manual understates the 425 horse engine.
(427 4 bb with "special cam"   I used to read through my dads owners manual when i was stuck in the car waiting for him and fantisize about what that might mean (Hey I was 11 at the time)
