52 Hood hinge springs


Has anyone got a picture of the 50's hood spring location, mine are missing & I cant figure out where thy would go when installed, broom handle for now but looks "crappy"  Pete  nonono

Here's some hood spring info, Pete.  A couple of pics of my 51 hood springs.

I couldn't get a shot of the bottom of the spring, but there will be an anchor hook down there that you should be able to feel.  The info out of the book shows what the hinge tool looks like.  Hope this helps.

Bob, thanks, I "kinda" thought they went down to lwr, firewall. I'm sure there's no mounts down there, may end up doing a "tilt" front end on this. Re, your other post to model # 20-07, This is a 2dr. Torpedo back, don't know if they classify that as a "coupe"  ???  biggrinbiggrin
