i know a few guys have been asking about motor mounts and #'s.These are the ones i bought off ebay for my 54 pathfinder,239 eng,auto trans.i don't think it matters if it is an auto or standard.first part # is trw 82037 for the driver side.The other,passenger side is a trw 2004.I found mine under an early 40's chevy.Hope this helps.
I'm a bit surprised about this, all the 53-54 Pontiac (canadian) I saw in the field had the left one on both side. I want to see the other one installed to look at it...as soon as you can.

The one on the left is the one Norm at Mid Canada Suspension was showing me. I just wanted to see mine before buying them. He also said some used a different kind, but it didnt look like the one on the right either.

Here you go fitz a few pics.maybe not original although both side appear to be the same age.Who knows i guess things can get switched around in 50 years.
It looks like they can be changed without pulling the motor. I assume all you have to do to change them is support the engine with a floor jack to do it, then unbolt the old, and bolt in the new?

BOTH motor mounts are VERY loose, as in, I can freely turn them by hand. And I see my passenger side is bolted right through, whereas cowboys is 2 seperate bolts. Who knows what modifying previous owners did to the car though...

To me they are the same both side, the rectangular one. I think the other one is a replacement parts that came over the year. We all know sometimes parts went out of sale and something else sould be used.
I know also on Canadian Pontiac, some previous chevy parts were used, like those engine support.
Will shot picture of mine since I have no body on the frame and post it to show how it look and fit.

Mine were actually split where the rubber met the steel so thats why i had to replace mine.It would have been easy to drill straight through them and put in a long bolt,essentially turning it into a solid motor mount which look like is done to yours.A little backyard tech to keep the car going down the road.My motor mounts were acutually listed for a 39-45 chevy,2 different options for 2 motors.I ended up buying two of each to make a set.I'll need the others for the sedan delivery when i work on it.\i have a feeling gm canada got alot of leftover parts from the u.s and just used them up as they went.The 239 flathead six was an engine option in 39-45 apparently.I'll have to see what the other two 54's i'm going to look at have.

I ended up picking up 2 the same fro Norm. $20.00 for the set. He had some heavier duty ones he said would work, but I wanted to stay original. He also said the convertables used to come with that other style mount.

My mounts didnt come with the bolts. It took me until today just to find a place that had grade 8, 3/8" fine thread bolts! ugh.

Ok. FINALLY back to my motor mounts! The old ones sure came out easy earlier in the month.
Now that I have everything to put things back together, I see this, what appears to be a very broken bracket! Other than a spring, I dont know what was holding it on!
Hey Bob, I think ill be taking you up on that offer to visit your parts car!
I guess thats why your not suppose to bolt threw the motor mount lol

I dont actually see where the rest of it is. I stopped taking bolts out til I see yours! lol The impact sure makes life alot easier with the old rusted bolts! :)
