you would be surprised, the transport cost not that much. I rebuild a transmission (65 ford) for a customer in Strassbourg, France last month, and the shipping with custom fees were around 600 euro one way. Not that much if you consider, the plane (one week delivery), and the truck to my local 100 km from Montréal.
I would suggest to check around you about transport if you want to go further into it.

One year since the last message.
The bobyman find a better job for him, and quit the Pontiac has a part time work. I did already find another one, he will work on it mostly full time, so....stay tune for some good picture and progress.

It has been a real amazing adventure following your incredible 53 Pontiac build thread. It has been really enjoyable following the restoration through photos and your own words on your 53. You are obviously a man of talent and great skills. As the old saying goes, "all good things come to those who wait" or in your case "WORK". Thanks for sharing the build with the Pontiac brotherhood here. Looking forward to further updates and continued good luck with her. Cheers. George.

Where is Andre? Better known as Fitz the 53 Pontiac Master. I think many of us are wondering here, about any possible updates on that sweet 1953 Pontiac of his. Cheers. George.

I'm here!!
I went to the body shop yesterday. The guy work on it 30-35 hours wekkly since the car is in his shop. The frame is straight as a Arrow. Only one body mount has to be rebuilt since it don't fit correctly, all the bolts and bracket we did previously fit very well. He's working on the rear parts of the car, yesterday I brought to him all the mouldings, gas door, trunk lid and tail light. He make clips for side mouldings with cardboard Template. I'm happy with his work, now I have to move quickly to follow his need in parts along the way.
The resto is so on the high speed mode, I think Ken and his brother will need to get a new BBQ for THIS summer. (Ken and his wife visit us this last summer, we were so happy to see member of the club visit us here in St-Hyacinthe, we, my wife and I told to Ken, when the Pontiac will be done, we do visit them with the car for a beer and a BBQ).
I visit the bodyman today, left him some trims, and took some shots. The right side is mostly completed. The fender skirt are tested for fit. The trunk cover is the last thing after the right side, to fit, adjust and sand before primer, and the shell will be ready for paint, It isn't a good news????
In the way to help my Pontiac's restauration I'm in need of a good pair of signal light housing. Does anyone has a good set for me (1954 can do the job)?
Also, yesterday I sent all the 3 wiring harness for rebuilt. Mine was clotch covered, I'm closer and closer of the paint and wiring installation. The guys said it could take 4 to 6 weeks to built and to have it back.
At this working speed from the body man I'm mostly out of track, a big order was made from NCA for everything I do think I need. The shell should be painted for the end of january. The car will be back for a partial reassembly (wiring, dash etc.).
