For the body brace, my bodyman will make it by is own, he said it is easy...OK I said, it is easy (for him!!!!!!). I'll do the rest and he'll make the body part of the resto.

this is some picture of the frame modification. I made a jig with 2 H beam of the old frame, after I put the new one and bend it to the new spec. I had to heat at some place, and sometime I had to push the frame by the inside with a bloc of steel cut at the same "curve " of the jig.
Wow you took on a big challenge. I hope its as true as possible, so eveything fits. Looks like after you get the other side with all the stress off of it that it lays correct in your jig then its time to tie it together with cross members. Are you going to do anything beyond stock on it? Like possibly a x member?

I'll keep it original, change nothing except at the end it will be stronger. Look at those picture of the "old" rusty frame..... you will understand...
this some picture of the engine when rebuilt in 2005.My wife help me to rebuilt it in a rush. The parts received in march some don't fit (the ring was too thin). I realised the problem only at the end of may. Kanter ship me a new set, but I touch the new kit at the middle of june. I have a wedding to do with the car the 5 of july. I assemble the engine paint it install it, run it, run too hot, sent the radiator out for a new core, restart the engine, road test it on the friday before the saturday's wedding! ouf!.
My wife help me a lot with cleaning and assembled the valve train.

I need to ask? Do you mind letting me know what paint number and brand you used for your engine colour? I gave it a try to see how close I could come, boy was I off.
You know what I was looking at your frost plugs. Did you put a block heater back in? After all it is a Canadian Poncho!!

I can give you the paint number if you want to, but it is not the good one. I'll use the correct one in the next step of the resto. This one is V8 pontiac 60' color. The good one is between mine and yours.

I have the original one "screw in" block heater. I think it was a canadian option only, because all 6 cylinder I have saw in US pontiac don't have the hole for it. Maybe someone can correct me...

the front end is painted, my painter (the one who hit the car) use a kind of rust paint. This paint look great and is not thin. Should résist to the road element.

it should be its just beside the first frost plug the smaller hole right beside. In one shot I can see the spot just beside the filler tube. Maybe I misunderstood you the block you have now does not have that hole?

Your oil filler tube looking too long for me, is it your modification?

No its not me. I know its pretty high. It was redone in about 93 By the previous owner. My friend's uncle. He bought it in 88 did the bodywork and paint then, in 93 engine and clutch. Took it out once to a car show then parked it ever since. This past weekend I took My friend out for a run in it just to get the motor up to temp for an oil change and he said its most likey that this ride was his first with it on the road. Made me very proud he said his uncle would love to have seen it down the highway in the middle of winter. He hated trailer Queens.

From what I can see is I think when Jack did the engin the hole for some reason was too big for the filler tube so he improvised and added a section of stainless tubing he had lying around the fit and the tube fit into that. I have been thinking on lowering it. from what I have read on the manuals it warns of putting it too high. And keeping it at the level of the fan blades to keep air flowing toward it.

Yes you are right, i think this is the good color for the canadian Pontiac too, even the sixes.

I have the shot of that engine over with the guy I use to get paint. He will set me up with a paint number soon thats as close as possible to that. The one that I have tried allready was kinda trial and error..mostly error.
