Your uncle is one of the "great guys" that helps people like me who dont have the experience. I'm glad to see the next generation interested. My son has a 70's Nova sittin in the driveway, but hormones have clouded his judgement and his girl takes priority, so it will sit for another summer. She is nice too. Tell me John, if you could have any Poncho from this site, what model would it be? Welcome.

Well to answer your question Turn2Stone. If I could have any Poncho on this site I would have to go with my Uncles '69 Parisienne/2+2 hardtop convertible. The reason of this being is because I like how the car looks, and some of the key features that I love are the nose cone on the front and also the hood, when I first saw it those were the first things I noticed, I also love how much room the old cars have too! I mean if we all had to choose from either having a nice old Poncho or something new like the 2010 Toyota Prius. Well I think I speak for us all when I say we would pick a Poncho any day of the week! pop the hood of an older car, everything is in plan sight and you know what everything is. pop open a newer car and geez you have to dislocate your arm in several places just to get the drive belt off!

Welcome to site!
I started to love old cars when I was 15 too, though it's not that long ago (I'm 23 now)!

My first car was at the age of 15 ... a 1965 Rambler 4 door. I painted the Crappy Tire plastic hubcaps gold and got the car painted deep forest green metallic with gold pin-striping! Home stereo speakers in the back seat ... ha, ha. Welcome to the site John!!!

When I was 15 and didn't even have my license yet, I had a '62 Laurentian 4-dr 6-banger with 40,000 orig. miles on it, a '62 Chrysler Windsor 4-dr with a 383 push button automatic; a '66 Pontiac Strato Chief 6-banger 2-dr. and a '66 Volkswagen Beetle bug. I unfortunately had to get rid of all of them before I even got my license the following year. Wish I still had the two Ponchos
and especially the '66 Strato Chief.
