Could someone tell me if the carpet kit from a 56 Bel Air will fit a 56 Laurentian.

interior has been stripped and the floor seems to be in good condition. Taking the seats and door panels to Ciadella Interiors in Phoenix this January.

yes; the same kit. $225.61 for a 1 piece molded. The 56 cars where not available molded. They were cut & sewn with seams. Did not go under the seat. Molded gives 100% floor coverage. Have a look on our site in the above banner.

Wow...like a Chevy only better eh!! I love the look of the car and the trim looks fantastic....that rear bumper is a very cool looking design. Look forward to seeing some more pics. Welcome to the sight from Grande Prairie, AB.

Picked up an engine bay light from a wrecking yard. It was in a 55 pontiac but will fit nicely in the 56.
Hi Everybody. It's been a long winter and projects are moving along. El Camino is 90% complete. The 56 Pontiac is looking great. Waiting for parts for the motor and then working on brakes.
On the passenger side of the cowl is another ID plate, it should look like this:
The ENGINE number shown on your plate should match the number stamped on your motor, if it is a "numbers matching" engine.
Other "date coding" is an arcane subject and if you are insistent (spark plug wires, voltage regulator, generator, transmission, etc.) you have a big job ahead.
That said, you have a great looking car, 2dr. hardtops (aka coupes) are surely the best looking of the tri-five vintage.

Oh yeah, at a minimum, the passenger side of your motor should look like this (well, maybe not so crusty and cruddy):
If you do not see those 2 raised bars on the block above the starter, it cannot be the original motor.
