I thought it looked different than mine. I have no idea, do the vac wipers work OK?

I don't see driving it in the rain much anyways, especially since I no longer live in BC.

I don't see driving it in the winter either...got a 2013 Suburban for that mundane chore.
What part of the island are you from? I have a couple of friends up in Qualicum. Spent 37 years living around the lower mainland, Surrey the last 20 or so. Just moved to Edmonton 2 1/2 years ago. Not much scenery, but cold or not I see the sun almost every day and the money/work thing is ridiculously good. Oddly enough I find -15C here isn't as cold feeling as 2-5C and drizzling made me feel in BC. Of course when it's -28C and windy that's something else. lol
I will return to BC at some point...

I can not help but feel kind of proud that i have made a contribution to Rene's 57 Pontiac Pathfinder project. I just recently sold Rene a 1957 Pontiac generator, totally rebuilt and properly detailed. I hope it serves both Rene and his 57 Pontiac well. Continued good luck with your fine 57 Poncho. Cheers. George.

It's already the nicest part of the car. haha
We drove down to Lethbridge (550 km each way) today for a massive antique car parts swap meet they have once a year. Saw some really cool stuff. Here in Alberta if you can find a matching pair of license plates the same year as your car they allow you to run those plates. Knowing this I've been scouring kijiji and eVilbay for the last month or so. I could find decent singles, but no pairs. Today at the swap meet I did find a matching pair of 57 Alberta plates in a 7/10 condition. Also found a guy selling all sorts of the literature for old cars. I already have the repair manual, sales brochure and owners manual, but he had the paint chip pages for the 57 canadian pontiac. Nice to see images of those pages on the computer screen, but it's hard to get a good feel for the color. The actual paint chip pages are much better, so I grabbed those as well. Last was a 4" peep mirror from the So Cal speed shop booth.
Ran into Ivan Perry there (perrysprojectcars.com) who is the guy I bought the car from. Found out he has a line on the Pontiac scripted valve covers for the 283.
Overall a good day!
