Can you send some of that heat out west?? Still burning wood to heat the house, Should have stopped over month ago.
Had frost on the roof last week, low's of 3-4 and highs of 11-14. Not good for car season, lots of wet weather as well.

It's been a great week for weather here on ol' PEI. Sunshine and temps reached 20 today. 21 tomorrow.

Our daughter in law just messaged us. Her dad drives a semi and makes 2 trips a week to Iowa from here. He was just caught in a tornado in Iowa and his truck is on it's side but he has no serious injuries. Our son is heading the 6 hours south right now with his mother in law to go pick him up.
I did some reading and the mid-west US has had just brutal weather this spring. They already had their first tornado warning of 2022 a month ago. Crazy.

Neighbours house caught fire today few of the firefighters went down with heat exhaustion
26 here at 10:30 this morning, forecast to be 28 today, humidex 32, seems like it may go higher, we are breaking records around the maritimes. Record for here today is 22.
East side of Nfld, its 2 in St Johns and I see snow on the radar, plus rain. We are forecast to be 13 and get 10-15mm of rain tomorrow, same rain Monday. Normal temperature for us would be around 12.

Yesterday we broke an Island record. It reached 24.4C in Charlottetown. Our average high is 13.8. This past week has been great for the solar panels!

So my wife was in a mall in Ottawa when the storm hit Saturday at 515pm, they wouldnt let people out of the mall due to the storm. Shes visiting our daughter who lives out by the airport. No power at her house and no cel service there either. May be a while considering the damage including steel towers down. 8 dead and still 400,000 without power in Ontario and Quebec.
Picking up the wife this morning at the airport. Good luck to all of you affected by this storm.

It was a nasty storm, especially for May. My friend in London came home to find a giant tree across his driveway. His long weekend was spent removing it.

Thousands around me are still without power.
I have a snapped poll but it's still hanging two days later.
Just to the east, about a 1/2 a Km of poles were down.
In Belmont, Ontario, a poor guys restores 90s, CK 1500 was flattened by a large tree it was parked by.
We had a storm go thru here last Tuesday, lost power for 12 hours, lots of trees down. Somebody was saying that this year
has been the coldest spring since 1911, sure feels like it. Using up next years firewood already.

Of course the Great guys of Hydro One have spent their long weekend serving us.
Same road, must have arrived just after I went by.
Bent post already gone.
Replacing all the polls in the stretch to be safe.
We are going to lose power for a while but the hard work is appreciated.
Been offline for 4 days without power. The old maple on our lawn broke off during that powerfull front Sat. and landed on the neighbor's newer Ram. Dented the roof all over, broke the windshield and basically crushed the box and tailgate.
Both our stacks were bend down and the power was ripped out. 2 days for electrical to rebuild the stacks. 2 for tree removal.
Just got power back this afternoon. All in all, a fun but expensive 4 days with a good workout and nobody hurt.
Well! This happened yesterday... Approximately 16:30 to 17:00. A 1st time experience I wish to never go through again. West and n/west of town and thankfully dissipated before it got into town. A couple of farm yards were hit with grain bins and debris thrown around, The CP rail line was also damaged with hydro wires and the bins being thrown across it. Thankfully, no injuries.
I was actually working under a van in the shop when the sirens were going off around town. I looked out and saw what looked to be smoke and said there's a fire over there till the neighbour said it was a twister.
(in the event pics are sideways, could the be flipped by one of the poobahs?) I an posting before going to work and it is a pain to try to straighten)
I rushed to get the '70 Estate and my '94 Roadmaster in the shop. Guy at the shop snapped this one. I pray this is the only shot of the 2 subjects are together ever again!

So its been g CCG poking here by my standards for almost a week and the forecast is for humidex in the 30s for the next 5 days at least-39c for today. The thermometer hit 33.5 yesterday. The sun would fry an egg most days.

Touch wood, but there's been little to no hurricane activity in the Atlantic this summer. Strange as they were predicting a higher than normal year.
