Some work done this week in the new garage. I install the transmission in is work stand to restore it. This unit was working correctly. I want to be sur for another 50 years.
I like your trany jig. Good idea. I made one to fit my engine stand.

if you look closely, this one I made is spinning with the big bolt in the middle, between the trans and the work bench. It work great, you will love it.

yesterday I worked on the powerglide. I began to dissassemble it a stock parts in different plastic tray. She's looking very good.
Wow your going though everything. Down to the last nut and bolt. keep it up looks like your enjoying the chance to get more done. Do you have any goals in mind as to completion?

I'm not sure what you question mean, if my undertanding is correct, at the end i want the car reliable as much as possible, and beautiful as much as possible too. But it will run on the road, I would like to show it at Hershey (if possible).

Look like the powerglide has been modified over the year, I can't buy a kit from Kanter or elsewhere because my clutch pack is from a 62 powerglide. I learn, on sometime it was familiar to mix parts in those powerglide, for whatever the reason.
I found a guy who can (hopefully) sold me parts outside a kit. I'm waiting for him for a quote, and I'll buy what I need.

yesterday, I worked on the intake/exhaust manifold. I remove the old exhaust manifold one from the intake. 3 years ago I found a car like mine and I take off the exhaust from it, free the heat riser valve and fix a small crack.
Tomorrow, I'll sand the "new" exhaust and plan to install it on the engine. By the way, this week or the next one, I'll receive from the machinist my new head bolts, I'll be able to install the head on the block. Also, it's Xmass time, I'll buy a new compressor, my old one, the tank was rusty, and the pump was noisy, so I don't move it in the new home garage, and I prefer to buy a new one.
Here some shot of the old exhaust manifold, the long/small crack near the heat riser valve is a common one on those manifold, but the short/large one is a weird one.
