EC is predicting 100 - 110 km/h for us. Looks like power outages, and possibly downed trees due to the wet snow that will fall before the rain starts. Increased loads combined with high winds are never a good combination.
Best of luck!

Some are saying these winds will be "Fiona strength". Lets hope not.

Currently snowing, just started, and 0c, it was -10 last night. Going to +8 today, forecast is for about 10cms then 30-40mm of rain and wind gusts to 115km, over by dark today. More snow and less rain elsewhere, betting on lots of power outages. Also have storm surge warning, flooding warnings due to the wet snow then rain, may be a bit of freezing rain, what the hell else is there that could be in a January forecast? Only missing a blizzard?

Wind storm on the Island today. Was nasty out there heading to Jordan River 30 min from my house. Headed out to check on property in JR with son (had chain saw with me) At Gordons beach...houses were flooded with high tide and high winds! Son and I bucked a tree across the road on way back home (nice guy stopped to help) lots lost power..waves were unreal. Just as nasty day on the Island!!

We got a few cms, been pouring ever since and blowing pretty good. It was a beautiful day yesterday, Mahone Bay harbour.

It didn't turn out too bad for my area today. It started with snow but turned to rain after a couple of cm fell. Rained quite heavily in the afternoon and the winds were gusty but never really amounted to much... thankfully.
Hopefully Todd made out okay?

Timbuk's +30C is coming to an end here, calling for -12 for the next few days, possible snowstorm. Depending on where you look
the weather app on Phone is calling for cold but no snow, but also on same app and same page it is calling for severe weather warning
with possible severe snowstorm tonight and tomorrow??? 24 hr outlook is not calling for any precip. WTH, I guess it's a wait and see thing.
Not sure what to believe. Got some wood brought in just in case. Still gonna be cold, just have to wait and see about snow.
Weather online is calling for same severe weather warning as well. Tim's fault.

5:20 pm. Looks like you'll be getting a little dump Kevin,
It's already switched to rain here in the banana belt.
I don't have to shovel rain
After this storm, the North West winds will kick in and the lake effect snow.
Then, we are known as the snow belt

Looks like Edmonton will be the grand prize winner.
Storm this weekend. Maximum wind gusts: southeasterly, possibly up to 90 km/h. Locations: Prince Edward Island. Time span: Saturday evening. Remarks: Snow will develop across the Island Saturday afternoon then change to rain later in the day. Only up to 2 cm of snow and 10 mm or rain are expected. A wind warning may be required as the system draws nearer.
Wind map for us. 12 noon Wednesday. I'm in a dark pink area.
Like 120 - 130 km/h, Todd? Ouch.

RIP truck battery. It was showing some weakness this fall, but this cold snap killed it properly.
It stings buying new AGM batteries, but in these conditions you do NOT want to be stranded. Long Live Yellow!
