While not as warm as SW Ontario but we have had a nice couple of days with lot of sunshine and temps above 0. Tomorrow we hit 6c which will help melt away the huge piles of snow we have.
-17 here this morning, a place near Antigonish is -28. Record high for today +14, normal low for today would be around -7, record low about-23, may get rain Friday. -17 is real cold here, our coldest temperature this winter.

February 23rd
So... after the snowiest February on record, we are now going to get 25 - 50 mm of rain, and then it's going to go from +4°C tomorrow morning to -4°C in the afternoon, and down to -12 at night.
Should be interesting with the new rain plus snow melt, with a lot of storm drains still covered by snowbanks. And then it will all freeze. Gotta love winter in the Maritimes.
Temperatures are forecast to fall rapidly. Ponding water, slush, and any falling precipitation will freeze as the temperature drops. Locations: parts of mainland Nova Scotia. Temperatures: falling rapidly to near -10 this evening. Time span: late this afternoon and tonight. Remarks: After a period of mild temperatures and heavy rainfall with melting snow, temperatures will quickly drop below the freezing mark. A period of ice pellets and freezing rain changing to snow will occur with the passage of this cold front. Untreated surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways, and parking lots may become icy, slippery, and hazardous. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Flash freeze warnings are issued when a rapid drop in temperature is expected, that can cause water from rain or melted snow on streets and sidewalks to quickly freeze.

It rained heavy here until about 2pm then snowed heavily. Roads were a mess last I heard. I have a lake next to my driveway that I'll be able to skate on tomorrow.

Snow birds will have to come home early to cut the grass. If we get a good rain to wash the salt off the roads I will be able to take the old car for a rip

Have not gone there yet. Spring is creeping up on us though.
I've seen two fat robins so far and one was sitting on a branch during the snowstorm. I'm sure they were thinking "What the hell am I doing here?"
