The head bolt are here! I'll close the engine. Also mostly all the parts I need to rebuild the PG is here too. Missing the springs for the clutch pack, waiting for next week.
The new head bolts worked well? Looks like you had the head resurfaced? Or just cleaned up real well.

For the frame it is mostly a running gag! I should work on it in 2 week......, the body man want the body with the new frame, so he have to wait for.
The bolt are fine, but i make a mistake in the number ordered, 4 are missing, should have tomorrow. The head was ressurfaced and I torque it at 15 pound to match the block/gasket/head together correctly, so, to do this task I use 4 old bolt. When the new bolts will coming, I'll torque correctly, and the glue on the gasket will stay under, sandwiched at the correct torque.

yesterday I receive the missing bolts, and torque the head at the correct torque (60). The new bolts are very precise on the torque, they turn all at the same rotating angle, for the indicate torque. They should do the work for another 50 years!
this is the good side, now on the bad side, my friend who help me to do the frame, had a bad accident, a cutting wheel on his grinder broke and mostly shop a finger, the doctor reconnect the finger on his hand........delay for the frame? ......yes . I visit him yesterday and wish him the best for him, and his hand........
He think to work on the frame by his son and me, and him on the side to direct us.
The PG is mostly completed, picture soon.

I lost a family member last week, so I don't work to much on the project since then, but this week I make the frame and today I put the trans/engine together and partialy install on the wooden frame.
keep up the good work. i never say anything but i keep reading you updates.

Last week I receive the carburator from the shop, install it today, and make some vaccuum tubing, today I build the modulator one and the distributor one too. I use the old one (distributor one) for model, the new one is looking good, and fit good too.

I know it is not the first time I tell you this, but I should work back on the frame.... this week
yesterday I worked on the wood frame, first, I made 2 bracket for the vaccuum tubing/cool line tubing to avoid vibration, and to duplicate the original one. Also, I prepare the engine/wood frame to the start up by installing the dash, ign. switch, batery tray, the voltage regulator and the radiator.

but it worth it, my old one were hard to torque to 55, it should be 60 (or near) the last time I use it. And the thread was corroded.

I'll start the engine/PG set up without paint, check for leak and things like that, and paint it after before drop it into the new frame.

I think I'll make a wooden frame to put the engine/trans set up to make the start up while waiting for the "real" new steel frame.

On one rail, the 2 big hole are welded with the original sheet metal, all the wrapping is gone, on other picture the process to cap the other rail.
