....taking the lead from Carl 2, show us your truck in your avatar for a few days. Our trusty GMC Suburban SLT K1500 5.7 Vortec, saved a Passat, Caviler, Accord, Regal , Impala, Mustang, Bonneville and get this a Volvo tractor with a 53' trailer (empty) so far this season from various snow banks, ditches and ruts of ice. Carry a 30,000 lb. tow rope and 18 foot #1 gauge booster cables.
Sold off my 95 GMC for a New Tundra, 5.7 ( 381 ponies under the hood) doublecab short box 4x4 in Dec. Though we might get some snow and have long road that doesn't get plowed, Hasn't snowed since.
Ok, you talked me into it. I won't make an avatar out of it, but I will post pics of it again and hope the system doesn't crash. This truck only has one thing going for it- parts are dirt cheap. Power? NOPE. It has a 2.5 4 banger that gets crappy gas mileage. It is pretty reliable.
The day I bought it:
The seller threw in a garage full of parts (literally). Everything to swap a V8 including engine, 2 700 trans, mounts, rad, complete dual exhaust plus doors, tailgate, topper, boxliners, about 5 instrument clusters, seats, etc etc etc. I should have kept going with the tremclad semi gloss and painted the whole thing! Sorry, had to do a full size pic. Built this truck(turned every bolt), put quarters, fenders, rockers, cab corners, built new 350cu/TH400, changed from standard to auto. It was loaded too, cruise, tilt, pwr windows, locks, brakes, etc. Just sold it to my boss last year for 11k.

Seems like we are heavily slanted to the GMC/Chevrolet line, imagine that!

Bring that thing to the Red River Valley and sink it that deep. We'll see how funny it is then when it takes a crane to lift it out of the gumbo!!!
