Anybody have a scan of a full size 1967 Canadian Pontiac forward wiring diagram? In particular, a forward lighting diagram for the 67' Grand Parisienne.
I'm trying to figure out how to wire the front running lights to come on when the headlights are on. They go out when the headlamps come on.

Why would you want them to come on?? This is how it was built!! If you want them to come on, but I think they are cool the way they are, I can get a schematic for you..........

Well, I'm not that much of a newb Vince! I knew it was intentional that they go out on the 67. But with the spot they're located at, it would be nice to have them on with the headlights. I know its not original, but it's a small mod that I'd like.
I would also like to go with some hidden relays for the headlights. 3 are the original T3's, one a lowbeam Halogen. The T3's are really yellow compared to the Halogen. I'd like to have all halogen on relays eventually.

I kinda realized that when I posted it but you caught it before I could edit!! I feel shame!!!!
I run halogen in most of my old cars with no problems but a relay would be a better way to go.....

About the marker/directional lights in that schematic. Why is it that the marker lights only show one lead going to each bulb (the running lamps), but the bulb icon shows two elements. On my car I see two leads into the marker bulb socket, and with what I presume, the marker bezel itself as a ground. Where's the R/L signal leads? Am I missing somthing?

When you say they are cool they way they are, do you mean the fact that you only see headlamps and the bumper reflection at night? I do like and appreciate that fact; the minimalist thing of a 67. Perhaps I'll just hook up a little toggle somewhere underdash to bring them on if I'd like.
They are just about the coolest markers are they not...

Something seems odd about the diagram, it doesn't show the R/L signal leads as Mark says. And yes, the housing grounds itself to the body.

In the book, they have it broken down into "Steering Column Wiring Circuits", "Interior Lighting Circuits", "Exterior Lighting Circuit" and so on... More than likely just to break every section separate rather than have 600 miles of wiring schematics! You just asked for the park lamps, so that is what I posted!! I will post the signals shortly!!!

Here they are............ The first pic is the bottom of the page to note the Figure # and description. And as Clint stated, the rings are ground....

It's very easy. I did this on my 66 Grande Parisiennes.
Take a test light, find the feed wire off the light switch for the park lamps. Then find the feed wire off the light switch for the tail lights. Run a jumper wire between the two wires. That way, any time your tail lights are on, so are your marker lamps.

Yes, they are cool!! I know on mine, when it dark out with no other lighting around, with the headlamps on and car idling, the bumper shakes with two eyes jutting out of the darkness. Step away 50 feet or so and look at the front end and to me it looks eerie.......... And cool!!!!

I had the same thing said about mine when my chums would meet me on the roads at night... They always knew it was me by the front end of the car...... And this was 20 years ago......... Neat the things you remember!!!
