you can buy them from the vintage checrolet club as well,around 40.0 i think.I know i will need one to put the springs back on my car.

Cool! I don't think I will have to change mine, but I must admit that when I look at those big powerful springs I have wondered how on earth you could ever deal with them,
Probably different sizes for different years, the ones in the video look different that my 56's?

Open the hood and place washers in between the coils and tied to each coil and when you close the hood the spring will be loose. Put one end in a vice and stretch the spring and do the washer trick.

Good tip about the washers. I've always used a set of locking pliers and a whole bunch of shear determination...
