Cool ad in Canadian Magazine showing Pathfinder, Laurentian AND Star Chief

As we know, the Star Chief was mfg in USA - very interesting to show both USA model and Canadian models in the same ad - you can even see the difference in front wheel openings, the Canadian model is more squared at the top while the USA model is rounded.
Sorry there is bleed-through from the ad on the other side of the page (Sun Oil Company Limited, Toronto).

That's the conclusion - they were more expensive, since they were 'imported' so subject to duties or whatever.

If a Canadian dealer sold a American Pontiac in Canada would it be considered a Canadian Pontiac for puposes of this forum?

I think that "Canadian Pontiac" means "Canadian-built Pontiac" so ... no.
On the Welcome to Canadian Poncho web page it says: we're your online Canadian Built Pontiac, Acadian and Beaumont Resource!
But everyone here seems pretty mellow with ALL cool old cars, so maybe ... yes.

I wish I knew, but sorry, I do not know - there is nothing at the bottom on either side of the page that says, and I asked the eBay seller, but she does not know.
Only clue is the ad on the reverse is for Sunoco "Sunicut Oil" for screw machines in manufacturing plants "part of a large selection of non-emulsifying and emulsifying cutting oils available to help you get peak production at the lowest possible cost ... see your Sun representtibve" so the magazine must have been somewhoat technically oriented, eh?

There was a prolonged strike in Canada and dealers needed Pontiacs to sell. I once had a chance to purchase an original 1956 full colour brochure that had exclusively US models but was a GM Canada brochure. I have never seen another one and deeply regret not buying it.
Sorry there is bleed-through from the ad on the other side of the page (Sun Oil Company Limited, Toronto).
