The old steering arm is to big to fit the new spindle, I quest I'll need a vette arm. and why is there half the picture, it suppose to show the hole alignment.
How is this going to lower the car it's taller than the original

What year spindle are you trying to use? On mine I used the original B body steering arm.I found that the 'Vette steering arm was to long.

That's what I used;'65-'82.The 'Vette spindle and B body spindle have the same part #.I did alot of research before I performed this swap.It was alot cheaper and easier to do it this way than to find a mid sixties disc brake set up (4 piston) from an Impala.I never had a problem bolting on mine .13" rotors? I thought they used 11 3/4", or are you using aftermarket rotors?It's too bad you have a B body and not an F or X body as I have a set of front brakes(4 piston) assembled for sale.Let me know how you make out.

I installed a 4 piston wilwood 12.2 rotor kit in the rear
I'm tryig to put together a vette 13 inch rotor, 4 piston setup in the front. I need to stop a 823 hp, C5R 427 heavy modded motor, with a level 6 4L60 tranny( rated at 1000hp ) with an 3600 stall and 3.55 gears. YES it's going to be a beast

I'm in the middle of a 4 piston disc conversion on my Gp right now.
Use 65-70 Impala drum brake steering arms. Should be easy to find. You may or may not run into an issue with the length of the Catalina tie rods in getting them to meet the Impala arms.
Just remove the steering stops to allow clearance for the Vette caliper bracket.
Also, I believe 65-66 drum arms might use smaller diameter bolts to mount it to the 69-82 spindle, but you could drill them out in any case.

Same arms cleaned up with stops removed.
Arms mounted.
With bracket, shield and rotor. GR9 bolts.
Lightweight (6lb) Wilwood D8 caliper.

Nice work! It's amazing how the old stuff can clean up. (I've got some old reverse light mounting gear that I've had soaking in vinegar for a few weeks. Removed them and took a wire brush to them....and not a bad result.)
