Fitment issues with 15x8”, 4” back spacing, GM rally wheels?

I recently pickup a set of rally wheels for my 68 Parisienne. I got a set of GM rally rims 15x7 for the front and 15x8 for the rear. Now that I have bought them I am having some second thoughts about fitment issues. Does anyone have direct experience with running 15x8, 4 back spacing, GM rally wheels on the rear end of full size or intermediate cars? I dont have any tires on the rims yet. I am thinking about some BFGoodrich Redline radials. Any advice about what size of tire is best for the 15x8 and 15x7 rims? I dont want to get into cutting away at the rear fender openings trying to make things fit.

My Pontiac has 225/75R-15 on 15x8 and you can just put a finger in between
Car has BB rear springs a small block car may have more room, sitting lower

I ran them on my 65 Pontiac Parisienne convt with stock suspension years ago and had no interference problems.
