Hi Guys I have a 1969 parisienne and need to change the front drums to disc to comply with AU main roads. Anyone know what spindles will fit or if there is a kit off another vehicle that will interchange easily.

o.... 71 and up was different bolt pattern More like 67-69

69 & 70 B body are unique to those years only, if your looking for the original look.There is a complete set used on eBay right now priced well. May be too heavy to ship. The spindles interchange with the Corvette 70 & up I believe.

I'd have to agree with rabbit, the easiest way is a kit that will fit your drum spindles. Saves you from having to break the balll joints for new spindles. Those kits use smaller A body rotors, but will you be racing? These retrofit kits actually work well.
The next easiest way is to put together a C3 Corvette setup. It's all available and uses the same big car spindle.

I agree with cdnpont as I used a complete C3 front system with no problems."Go big or go home" is what I say.Heavier cars require a little more stopping power so better safe than sorry.And believe me,they do work well.

Wondering if youve completed the disc conversion as yet?
FYI - you may want to consider Hopper Stoppers here in Australia - they provide conversions using locally made GM Commodore (US Pontiac) parts..................see link..........note that they also provide a set of rear wheel cylinders (of the appropriate bore) to ensure front/rear equalisation is correct.........
FWIW I put a Master Power Brakes front disc conversion intended for an Impala on my '69 2+2 and it was a perfect bolt-on. They offer rear disks (some mid-80s Cadillac part) but I've had no luck with them. But the front disc conversion was easy.

just go with the kit listed in the above post. It uses your stock spindles and everything in the kit bolts on.
that is the simplest way to go.

yes '69-'70 spindles are unique, larger bearing diameters than the '65-'68s
'68-'81 covette spindles are the same, you could add the complete corvette frt discs also

I'm also in the process to make the conversion for my 68 Parisienne.
I choose to go with the original kit. I was lucky to find one from a 68 Parisienne convertible . I'll keep you informed of the conversion progress.
