Hey everyone. I hope everyone is having a good summer and putting lots of miles on thier cars.
I have finally saved enough to change the from brakes from drums to disc on our 1970 Tempest and was wondering if you need to change the master cylinder or can you just change the front end components. My master cylinder is only 2 years old now. How much should I expect to pay for a conversion kit?

yes to changing the master cylinder, the piston size and residual valve are different between drum and disc.
I did not change the proportioning valve on my 70 ,, seems to work just fine with the original.
MORE pics of your 70 please... I'm at the 90% on my 70 Lemans Convertible !! I need some encouragement !
here's the before I started the frame off... drove it for 10 years like this..

Thanks for the info. Im hoping to have all of the parts this week. I love your car. You sure cant beat the look of a 1970 Pontiac. We have had ours since 2008 and have done lot of work to her. Most recent was a facelift to the interior. I found a pair of bucket frames and we rebuilt the seats and interior ourselves. We went with a 1969 interior as we liked the design in the seats vs the 1970 a a little boring.
I took mine apart in 2006 for a winter cosmetic resto......it's still in pieces and is now a frame off resto... not nut and bolt..but real close !
EVERY panel has been worked,, floors, a- pillars ,, inner rockers.....yesh.....
IT will be a sweet car once again,, I just have to keep the AADD at bay ,,maybe then I'll get it finished

Yes it is a 69 spoiler. We compared the 69 and 70 and we both like the smooth look of the 69. When we did the interior a few years ago we also decided on the 69 interior as we both liked the Y in the seat pattern vs the straight lines in the 70. When we were recovouring the seats is when we learned that the rear seat on a 69 is wider then a 70 so some trimming was needed to make it fir properly. Also the hood is a 69 factory hood that we picked up from Winnipeg. No matter what I love the chrome nose of the 70.
