Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself to the forum. My name is Jon but i chose the handle THECHEEF as i just recently purchased the 66 Stratochief from rebelrouser here in Calgary. I wanted a classic musclecar and spent months looking at everything from impalas, galaxies, and even a 66 lincoln. I found that most people had no passion about the cars they were selling and were trying to make a buck selling junk they had rotting in their yards. That was until i found the Stratochief by accident one day and met rebelrouser. I bought a classic car with the intent of restoring it and one day leaving it to my two sons. I fell in love with my new poncho as soon as i saw the first picture and new i was going to buy it before i even saw it in person. The amount of dedication that rebelrouser had to the vehicle was incredible, and he is a great guy. We went for a drive and the two of us were smiling from ear to ear the whole time just enjoying the car. My plans are to do a complete frame off resto when the finances and the wife permit it but for now im happy just getting the body and paint done to make the car look as good on the outside as it does under the hood and frame. Happy to be here and im sure that i will be posting lots of questions as this is my first classic auto...Cheers
Well let me be the first to welcome you from the Okanagan valley. Great to see the car and its new owner still attached to this site. Am confident you will enjoy the conversation here.

Welcome to the site!
That is one nice post you have there. A real muscle B body with handling and braking to boot! Great choice.
