I briefly looked at the rear brakes on a friends 80 Parisienne a few months back & noticed the the anchor pin for the brake springs (at the top) was a bit loose....
I was thinking that those pins are replaceable OR does the backing plate need to be replaced?

I don't think I've seen a replacement pin for those but it seems to me a jobber backing plate is pretty cheap, at least they used to be.

Ok,so that axle is held in with the bearing retainer, not a c-clip?

No, I think that will be a 7.5" c-clip style axle.

Ok.the pin DID unbolt (it was loose on the backing plate, but big nut was TIGHT)
Found one from a 70's Firebird diff. that was the same.....
Raybestos does NOT consider it to be a wear/service part...but I did find NEW replacement in the Inline Tube cataloge.
