Hello
I am a new member. My name is Joe Percy and I'm from Thunder Bay, ON. I have a 1969 Pontiac Gand Prix, and I just got this barn find 1959 Parisienne. It is original paint except for some touch ups on the dog legs. It is numbers matching 261 6 cylinder, and power glide. It has the original rear spiral shocks, and the odometer reads 56k miles, which I believe to be accurate. When I was a child, (now I'm just child-ish), my mother always had 60's Pontiacs with the cold light on the dash. I love that this car has the same feature. I don't plan on doing much in the way of restoration on my Parisienne. I love the originality of it. Here are some pics:

Thanks -
It was sold new at Winnipeg Motor Products. It also has the original user's guide in the glovebox. I'm going to fax the GM archives so that I can get the production numbers on it.
Welcome here, and COOL car! Those 4 door hardtops look great.
By the way, I'm from Morris Manitoba but my heart lives in Northwest Ontario at Little Gordon Lake (just east of Kenora) where our cabin is...

Haha, yeah, I'd forgotten the teenage puke! He always used to phone him from work and wake him up, right?
I have 2 66 Grande Parisiennes. One is a 396 4 speed, other one is part way to being a 427 4 speed. This summer I sold my 65 Acadian this year after owning it over 26 years.
By coincidence, my black GP and my Acadian are both from Winnipeg Motor Products as well.

I'm not usually a fan of the late '50's - early '60's cars but I like the look of this one. Welcome from Edmonton.

thank you i didnt know myself they made such a car but when i saw it i knew i had to have it . believe me ive had my share of vehicles but this one turns more heads, gets pointed at, and creates more conversation than anything ive owned. when i saw the wheels on ebay i knew they suited the car better than most . they are JD wheels Halibrand replicas $130 a piece . those are 8 " on the rear with 275 tires . there is so much room as it is the wide track pontiac body on the narrow track chevy frame. i cant wait to open the hood when i visit minnesota and see the look on the americans face when they see the 6cyl engine as all american cars were 389. i posted more pics in members rides i think they may be the original rad hoses?? thanks percy

Welcome aboard love your ride. When I was younger I thought the 58-60 cars were butt ugly but with time they have grown on me to be one of my favourite!

Welcome aboard. I am originally from Thunder Bay. I remember listening to your dad there before he moved to Winnipeg.
