I´am Andre from West Germany! My Ride is an 1960 Strato Chief Limousine! Here in Germany i am the only one that has some awesome Pontiac Car, but i hope here i can find some persons that they hav it too.
It´s a small block only 4.2l R6 but its enought for me!
Its a little bit kustomises from me with round beep mirrors, the springs at the front are 8cm lower than the in the back! New Gas Bumbers, rebuildet front stearing axel, new light machine and some other parts of the engine that i dont know the vocabulary in english are new! And at this winter i have restorated the floor of the cap passenger compartment and i order a new carpet from rockauto.
All right i hope you can see here the pic of my car.

Welcome from Regina Saskatchewan, Andre.
If you need German translated to English send me a pm and I can get it looked at as my parents both speak Dutch, German and English. I am fairly good at Dutch but struggle with German so with their help I should be able to get it sorted out.

Welcome to the site. However, your posting says you've got a 1960 Strato-Chief, your ID includes 61, but the car looks like a 1962 to me. 1960's were one of the few years where Pontiac did not have a split grille, and 1961's the split is like a V.

Hey it´s right!
I have read some books about it that must be a 1962! But in the Papers of the Car is the date of the first time of the street 1.1.1961! And the first january is not a working day for the road traffic office! So i think its a 1960!
This Modell comes from South Africa! Some Car informations that i found in the car is in Africans! Its a special language mix of Netherlands and afican speak!
For me its not easy to fight some infos about these car because nobody that i know drives a pontiac only mercury, chevis or fords :( DISLIKE!!
And here in germany is only a transam board that i found!
Yes you found my car, these pics are old! I have transformed him a little bit with the crumb indicators and my lovely hubcaps!
When somebody has some information about my car, please give it to me!
Thanks a lot
Andre

IN Canada a 1962 Model would start production in Fall of 1961 "perhaps your papers are 11-1-61 or 1-11-61 meaning Nov 1961 ?
With your cars serial number and about 75 dollars you can "prove the build " with Documents from General Motors
Hey 427Carl, you have right! it´s from the first January of , i am sorry, 1962! *shamed* but now the question is, why all typs of canadian pontiacs dont look like mine?
Is my information not right that is not a Canadian Pontiac???
