I have the cloth seats out of my 62 Hardtop parts car. Am going to put the cloth front bench into the rag. The rear seat sections I bought are upper from 63 Parisienne and lower from 62 Parisienne, both rag tops. Both these rear sections are vinyl.
My question is this: Did the convertibles all come with vinyl upholstery?

Yes converts were always vinyl in those years. At least as far as I know & remember. I've never seen factory cloth fabric in a convertible Parisienne.

Thank you greatly !! Always more to learn. Hadn't really thought about it before, but it does make good sense.

I may have to order new upholstery one day to recover the seats. Could do the front for sure, as the springs and foam are still good. Just won't want that ripped, rotting brown factory cloth material in a burgandy car with red dash and door panels.
The rear seat sections will be a bit trickier, as the stuffing is mostly gone and some springs rusted through. Have to put my thinking cap on !!
Too bad the hardtop rear seat is too long.

Where would one order new upholstery for the front and rear bench 62 Parisienne? Any thoughts? I could likely recover the seats myself. The front anyway. Rear needs stuffing as well. Front just needs outer material, but in red vinyl.
This is a picture of the rear that matches the front. They're both in about the same condition. -- Edited by HonestDave on Thursday 3rd of April 2014 08:56:03 AM

Chevy seat covers would fit. I doubt very much if you could find the Pontiac design. I got lucky and found a 64 interior to put in my 62....Not mint, but was very good...Just had to modify the door panels a bit

Ah ha...Carl, you are a sharp devil !! Guess I looked at that so many times I kind of tuned it out.
Hi Dave, here is a picture of the original interior of my 62 Parisienne Conv. It is a 3 tone metallic vinyl and I have been told it is hard to get. I wanted to dye the top center section due to a bit of fading but I was advised against it because the metallic color would be hard to duplicate. I know that if anyone could help you it will be Dale @ NOS Reproductions.
