Hi guys. I have a '66 Grande Parisienne that I picked up last year. I'm finally able to get working back on this project. Just wondering if the Parisienne CS and GP share the same body style? My car has a lot of body fill on it and it is difficult to see the lines. Reason I ask is I was able to find a good picture online of a '66 CS that I was going to use as reference when I start the bodywork shortly.
If anyone has any good pictures and don't mind posting them, please share!
Thanks.

Was there a 66 Custom Sport? I thought the Grande Parisienne replaced the Custom Sport in 1966.

No, there was both in 66 only Clint.
Between 66 Grande Guy and myself we might be able to scare up one or two 66 Grande Parisienne pictures Hardtail....

Can I presume the Custom Sport didn't have the larger rear window that the Grande Parisienne did?

Correct, the GP rear window was not used on any other 66 Pontiac.

grand Prix USA andGrand Parisienne shared the same roof and rear glass, right Carl? Another question id like to add to this please. Did the 66 Custom Sport come with the 2+2 designation?
I cant remember but my 66 had 2+2 badges but was a CS.

Yes, same glass on the US models of GP 65-67 and I would have to check but it seems to me the Olds Starfire for 65-66 is the same glass.
No 2+2 in Canada in 1966, not until 1967. That is the only year that GM had a 2+2 Pontiac in both Canada and the US.
You guys are great. Thanks so much, they really will help me. I am working on the trunk just came in for a coffee. I will have lots of pictures for y'all later this evening. I need to get the numbers off my motor, I think she is the 283 or the 327.

Seventy 2+2,
1966 was the last year for the Custom Sport and in my opinion one of the best bodies GM Canada brought to market. 1967 saw the beginning of the 2+2 in Canada, which replaced the CS.

Years ago when I was a teen working at the gas station, I often filled up a 66 Custom Sport 396 4 speed convertible. Local boy, he'd been in my class for part of high school. The car was pretty tired and he was pretty hard on it. Eventually it ended up in my brother's wrecking yard and got crushed, sadly...

Before or after you rescued the 396 out of it?

Worst part is, I can't even recall where that 396 went.
The big one that got away I guess...

My 66 gp had a 396. The previous owner pulled it and dropped in a 454 out of a 73 camper with peanut heads. I sold that dog and dropped in a 496 stroker. Love it. If your interested my builder is in regina. 8k with shipping.
