Hi guys me again. I'm in the middle of doing the 6 to 12 volt conversion and although its not part of the process I needed to remove the horn ring. The previous owner must have had a problem with the horn and ran a working button to the side of the column so I thought I would correct it now that the battery is disconnected. My problem is that I know the ring needs to be depressed in the center and turned to release it but I cannot get it to turn in either direction once depressed. Has anyone had a similar problem and can help or any suggestions. P.S. the 12 volt conversion is so I can use creature comforts, hook up my antique boat and an alarm system.

Once off there are three screws that hold the ring to the rest of the steering wheel.
