I am proud to announce the release of the new Canadian Poncho Registry. For those who access the forum from the active board link, you can access the Registry at www.canadianponcho.ca and www.canadianponcho.com.
First and foremost I will say that the Registry only supports modern web browsers, Safari, Chrome, FireFox, Edge, and their respective mobiles versions. For the best experience, make sure your browser is updated to the latest version. If you encounter any bugs, please let me know. This is something I will be maintaining and continuing to develop.
The Registry is mobile ready, feel free to use the application on your cell, tablet and desktop.
It has a filter feature on the left, you can sort multiple make(s) and year(s) here.
As a guest you can view the vehicles on the Registry. If you choose to add a vehicle, you must signup from the navigational menu. You will receive an email to confirm your account, which usually takes 5-10 minutes.
Once logged in you will be presented with your dashboard. On the left you can add a vehicle to the Registry. After your vehicle is submitted you will have to wait until it is approved by our moderators. You can see the status of your vehicle inside your dashboard. When your vehicle is approved it will automatically be inside the Registry index.
If your vehicle is denied, you will be instructed to resubmit your profile with the noted changes.
You are free to edit your vehicle at any time after it has been approved. Simply click your vehicle from within your dashboard or find it inside the Registry and you will see an Edit button above your primary picture.
I would first like to thank Todd for giving me the opportunity to do this, it has been an honor to give back to a community who has been so friendly, knowledgeable and inspiring to me personally, especially when trying to put a rust bucket from hell back on the road.
Carl Stevenson has been an integral part of providing information from the previous Registry and aiding with the framework for me to build upon. Your tireless efforts testing the application are highly appreciated.
Lastly I must thank jjmont64, long stroke, cdnpont, and lefty for providing their vehicles pre-release and testing the application to ensure it was brought to you all as best that it could be.
I hope you all enjoy this new feature to Canadian Poncho. I look forward to hearing the feedback from the community.

This is an exciting day for Canadian Poncho, to say the least. I love the fact that we can input our own vehicles and not have to rely on one person to do all the work. (And that's not to say one person hasn't done all the work to this point, because he has!)
Hardtail, just to say thank you to you for the dedication to this project isn't enough.
Guys, the best thank you we can give him is to put this to good use!

We all owe Jonathan a round of applause for his hard work in creating the registry. He has put hundreds of hours into this project. You can't imagine the hard work that goes into something like this- making sure it works on all types of browsers and mobile devices.

Is this an entirely new feature?
Do we have to re-enter all the info entered previously?

Yes, it's all new. The great part about it is, you can put in a good list of options, tell a bit of a story about your car and post a picture. Also, you can edit your post when you want, including updating/changing the picture. It's quite comprehensive.

Don't be scared to post data and pictures of project cars. This is for all Canadian Ponchos, not just running, driving, painted ones.

A couple of things I just want to note, and I hope I'm not out of line Hardtail when I'm saying this-
1) I notice some guys have just posted a single picture of their car. It would be great to see multiple pictures of your vehicle in the registry. This could be a great aid to members as a reference if they have a project car.
2) I am guilty of this next point as well here, and I need to improve my writeup for my car in the registry. I think it would be great for us to note how our car was built originally, (powertrain, options, colours etc) and list any changes we have made if we've deviated from it's as-manufactured status. This could aid others in a number of ways i.e. help them identify what is original and what is not, show them what can be done to their own car if they happen to be working on a similar vehicle etc. I know I sometimes rely on other's advise when making changes on my car, and it really helps to know who has done what to their car.

Good points Carl. Also, if you have the GM vintage vehicle doc sheets it would be great if you post that too (with the VIN blanked out!).
Anything to help fellow Poncho enthusiasts is greatly appreciated!

Just a reminder guys, keep sending in your vehicles for this. It does NOT matter if they are project vehicles, parts cars, daily drivers, trailer queens, even a car that you used to own.
