Very low production, especially for sale in Canada badged as Allure SUPER. Reputed to to be the fastest Buick production car ever made. Please PM if you know of one or have one for sale.
Interesting that you post this Ray. I've been reading about these and have never seen one in real life. I'm beginning to wonder if they exist!
Do you actually think it's faster than a Stage 1 or a Grand National? Hard to believe, but I never say never...

According to information I have read yes, they are faster. They are reputed to be a 100 mph 1/4 mile car dipping below 14 seconds. I guess that's pretty normal nowadays for a performance car. My SIL's new Maxima can do that too. I always liked my Buicks and the V8 is a must. This would be a third family car.
There is one in MacGregor MB but they don't answer the ad. Just missed one by hours in Barrie ON last week. I've search Kijiji nation wide, there are 3 for sale, only one is black. Two in Manitoba funny enough, MacGregor and Thompson.
I will certainly offer to check out the one in MacGregor for you (about 2 hours) but I'm afraid you're on your own for the Thompson unit!

Much Appreciated Carl ! Thompson is wrong colour but probably a better car....I've been to Thompson, we're getting up there, one of my most enjoyable flights ever just above the trees in a two engine prop.

Less salt on the roads up in Thompson vs. the south, for sure. I've seen some pretty nice cars from central/western Manitoba where the black one is, if it hasn't done a lot of winter runs to Winnipeg.

Don't underestimate the value of on line communications, I got contacted by two dealers on this, Dean Myers Chevrolet and Lindsay Buick. I was impressed by these two guys hustling to make a sale, no Allure Super but very nice Allures CXL.

Oh, you GOTTA buy a Super! A CXL is just another plain old W car, great cars, but nothing to compare with the V8.

I work with the client this past summer who has one of these cars in black. We talked about it in a parking lot while we were waiting for someone else to arrive. I seem to recall he was thinking about upgrading, so I will try to dig up his number and ask if the cars for sale here in British Columbia. He did say it was a quick car but his complaint with it is the front wheel drive set up- if my memory serves me. I could relate, since I've owned a number of Cadillac STS and DTS models, and although they have been nice and somewhat peppy cars, I found the excessive torque steer downright scary at times when pushing the performance a bit in traffic! Anyhow, I'll try to contact this guy and see if his car is available. I remember it being in almost new condition and I think it was very pampered.
BTW- these might be the fastest you ever ever made in top and speed, but they are not the quickest. Both the Grand National and '70 Stage 1 cars were quicker 0-60 and in the quarter-mile.

Anytime you get 300 HP at the front wheels you get torque steer, heck my mildly touched XII had worse torgue steer that any Cadillac Northstar I've driven but Stabilitrak does keep things in order if so equipped. Appreciate the lead.
I'm following up on a clean Impala SS lead I got this weekend as well.
Is there any GM V8 powered sedans I'm overlooking 2006 to 2009, this is set to be a third family car.

G8 GT and never look back Ray.
Have you had a ride in one?
I know you're bigger than me but I'm 6'1" and it's one of the best fitting cars I've ever had. Plus it's a riot to drive and pretty decent on fuel. My wife says best car we've ever owned in almost 30 years.

It may have to be the GXP, pretty easy to find.
Kijiji people are weird, I found a Super and sent three emails, no reply and an SS no reply.

Yes we'd like one of those too, another rare beast , my searches have turned up none in Canada so far.
My wanted ad on Kijiji has paid off, I'll plan to look at a Black Super this weekend with a fairly low KM count at 83,000.
I should have said I'm not in a rush, we already have 5 vehicles so somethings going to have to be moved out, like the STS with 200,000 km. I was targeting by April to have something else in the driveway. It took me almost two months to get my daughter the Murano she liked in the colour combo she wanted and kms that were acceptable visa vi budget. As the bible says, "Good things come to those that wait".
Keep sending tips my way boys, I've got an Impala SS at $5900 and a GP GXP at $6995 that are possibilities right now. G8 GT and GTO are over the budget on this purchase by 2 times from the ones I've found averaging $14,000 to $15,000. Car is for the Goose to drive, funnily enough in his 4 years in Law Enforcement he liked the cop Impalas best even though they were not V8's.
We'd consider an Aurora too with the Northstar although that Olds styling is very dated now. Weather isn't cooperating either with snow and cold and early darkness.
