Where are you and what does it have to fit? I've got one from the mid sixties from a Beaumont. Just looked at your thread so I'm probably no help to you.

Sorry about that , I guess my profile was not completely filled out. So, I am in New Brunswick. My application for the three speed transmission, well now that is another story. Well I don't know if this is the correct forum for this response, but anyway, here it goes. I have a 1950 Pontiac which came with a Torque Tube or propeller tube differential, don't like the set up, and hope to do something better, I know there are the purist out there that will tell me to keep my car original, wholly crap, I hope that purist is speaking because he owns one! This is the early stages of a planning exercise, if it is not possible, I will use the Torque Tube, but only if I have too. I am going to try to change this out and use a conventional drive shaft and regular 8.2 GM differential behind my original L6 239 engine and bell housing. I have read some articles and apparently there is no bolt up transmission solution. Please , if some one knows better, correct me now and tell me what you know, this would be greatly appreciated. My plan is to machine the input shaft of a new 3 speed to the specifications of my original 3 speed, if possible even use the old input shaft as a donor for the. newer 3 speed, then mount the bell housing and center the newer modified 3 speed to the rear pilot bushing and finally make new threaded bolting tabs. If you have ever taken one of these older transmission apart from the bell housing, four bolts hold it to the bell housing, 2 of which are bolted from inside the bell housing to the face of the transmission, the other two are passed through two ears of the transmission and threaded into the bell housing. I just recently bought a GM 1970 10 bolt 8.2 posi, that is apparently equipped with 3.23 : 1 gears, I have not open it yet, the point is it is the correct width for the car. I can always buy a set of newer gears. I have no plans to keep the original gear set of 3.93:1, anyway that is another issue.
Really would appreciate any information, comments on this subject, if someone has done such a project, I would be very interested to read and learn from your experience.
Regards Dale
