Hello ....new to the board...have owned a few a SS427 Impala's and a couple of GTO's....but have always admired the Canadian Pontiacs!...and looking for one....sort of the best of both worlds!!!
So I thought I would reach out here as these car share some common parts. I recently acquired a 67 Strato bench seat. In nice shape but unfortunately there is one piece on the armrest that is broken. Forgive me as I don't have a photo at the moment. But it is a rectangular shaped piece of plastic on the armrest that covers the stitching on the side (they did away with it in later years) and has a trim screw holding it at the forward end and looks like it hooks over towards the rear and attaches there. have no idea what its called. This one piece is driving me crazy......Oh the small things!!!. So was hoping someone could jump in tell me if there is a way to reproduce it (haven't found it anywhere)...what its called?....has one lying around without purchasing a seat, etc. This one happens to be white but anything would help....there is always paint.
Thanks in advance

Welcome here, I read your intro in your other post.
Those plastic trim pieces on the armrest are almost always broken. My upholsterer found a decent way around that when he recovered mine a few years back. I posted pics at that time, I'll see if I can find them.

Found something!
I have since sold that car to Tom in Alberta. It was the monthly feature car here last December. If you scroll down you will see a couple of pictures of what my guy did to finish it off.
Thanks Carl....what a beautiful car that was...is! And that was very clever how he was able to blend those strips in....This seat was redone a just a short time back...but needs a little TLC before I put back into the car.
I only need the drivers side right now....but if I can't find a replacement I'll show those pics to my Upholstery guy.
Thanks again....bye the way ..thanks for the welcome and what are you driving now?

I will keep my eyes open for that piece for you but when I had mine I looked and couldn't find a thing!
My current (and likely last classic car, no more projects for me...)---

I've since fixed the broken emblem, put on correct AC Delco plug wires and changed to one size bigger tire with blackwalls.
Your link brings me back to the feature car.....what is it that you have now?

I think Carl just doesn't ever want to let go of that beauty......
Here's his present Strato Chief classic beauty.....

Not everyone here on the site is in favour of me altering my otherwise pretty much original car...
