I believe what you need will only fit late 69 and all of 70. Seems to me that early 69 is linkage and for sure 68 and older is. Could be a tough find.

Or now that I read another thread about your car, I think I'm wrong, it was during the 70 model year, not 69?

You are correct Carl. Early 1970 was still a rod setup changing to the cable setup part way through the model year. I still have a NOS throttle rod for a 454. (Part # 3968781)

There was a 1970 model year mid year change from throttle linkage to cable. The cables were only used for half a year, then 1971 was different again.
There were a number of variations:
1. 6 cyl 250 & 350 4bbl part # 3996341 supercedes original part # 3982822
2. 350 & 400 2 bbl part # 3993662 supercedes original part # 3982823
3. 454 part # 3996342 supercedes original part # 3982824

These are VERY hard to find. There was a guy selling an NOS 454 on one ebay, I really didn't need it but was trying to get a deal on it as a spare. He would come down a bit, but was sticking pretty close to his price. I think he wanted $125 US. I'll see if I can find his info.

When I put the 454 in my Parisienne, I used the throttle cable from the 70 Safari Wagon that donated the engine block.

BTW, the cables are totally different than what was used on the Chevelles, etc.

I remembered the user id of the fellow on ebay, and sent him a note. He replied and said he sold the cable. He suggested going back to use a throttle linkage. I think the firewall changed in the change from linkage to cable so that'd take some modification. I have a 350 2bbl cable you're welcome to try, it came from my Parisienne.
