Ebay was the only place I could find one. You can try vendors in the Old Autos newspaper. It sure was not cheap as it was $100 US for a new old stock one. I had also bought a rebuilt pump but it did not have enough fuel pressure and it did not work for very long.

Thanks Al, these very simple to rebuild but if the diaphragm is torn then one is hooped! I wonder if they were used later on something else?

There is a place in Milton, A&W Enterprises, that advertises in Old Autos. They rebuild old pumps.

I just did my Carb and Fuel Pump
Carburetor kit was obtained through Mikes Carbs
Fuel Pump kit was obtained through Then and Now

Thanks Dale, I got a kit for my carb a Carter 2010s from Mikes and it was not correct. The accelerator plunger they supplied had about 3/8" shaft movement before plunger would move and my original was a solid plunger shaft, what carb do you have? Will check out then and now for the fuel pump kit.

Well I have a Carter WA-1 carburetor. when I first made contact with Mike's they almost insisted that I located the small brass tag that is fixed to the carburetor for proper identification. I have attached a picture of this for you.
The kit that I got was Item Number K 493, and I also bought a new Brass Float item number FL 1030. My kit went together very well.
The title of this thread was for a 239 L6 Fuel Pump, are you still looking for a kit? incase you are ? and since I have my folder open I will provide the part numbers for the kit which. I have already said where I got it so the part numbers are
1- FPK FPA36 Kit
2- FRP 6P Bottom bowl

Yes Dale I am still in the hunt for a fuel pump kit, and thank you for your info. I need to get my pump info off the pump as it looks like Then and Now has a great selection for Pontiac.
The carb deal was they said the 2010s was a rare number, but I believe they were on all 53-54 Pathfinders of which they made around 40,000. They did stand up and refund my purchase which I thought was generous of them.(sorry for the rabbit trail)

By the way, if you truly do have a Pontiac L6 239 engine, and you ever have to take your oil pump off your engine, be very careful, the top of your oil pump has a peculiar set of blade like cross members made of spring steel. These cross members make connection to the bottom end of your distributor !!!!!!. I lost mine and I am currently looking for a set?????

Pontiac started to use a Rochester B carburator in 1951. Both Carter and Rochester were used until 1954. I think there must of been a supply issue. I get a lot of parts from Graves Auto who advertise in Old Autos. A month ago I bought a timing chain and an intake gasket set for a 239 from him and the intake set was an original GM item. His prices were very reasonable. He may have a fuel pump rebuild kit.
Does anyone know where I can purchase either a kit or new/rebuilt fuel pump for my 54 Pathfinder 239 L6 flathead?
