Hi everyone.
Just wanted to formally introduce myself as I've been lurking around the site for a few weeks reading up as much as I can! Awesome site for sure. My name is Mark Hutchinson and I live and work in Elliot Lake, Ontario. Banker by day, and custom bike builder/restorer etc by night. lol
I've done a few cars and dozens of bikes from factory original restos to customs etc......just love the process and love getting to try out all the rides too!
Picked this car up for myself and my fiancé as she just loves old Pontiacs (yeah she's a keeper) and hey, I like them too
1965 parisienne.....it's rough but very very solid. No body filler and no real rust issues. stock 283 with a powerglide in it. Looks like someone has replaced the front bench with buckets and a console, but I have no idea from what. If anyone knows, i'd love to know just for curiosity sake.
Have some plans for it over the winter which includes:
-all new wiring under hood....it's scary. Someone upgraded the alternator to a 10si but did a real hackjob on the wiring. just going to run all new powers, grounds, relays, etc to everything
-needs exhaust...going to go duals with H pipe and undecided on mufflers and tailpipes
-major tuneup....points, condenser, fluids, filters, new hoses under hood, etc blah blah all the usual maintenance items
-have a 4 barrel intake and quad i'm going to rebuild and use
-brakes are supposedly new but we'll see....
-wheel/tires
-helluva good cleanup and some detailing/bit of work on the interior
-paint....undecided but it's gonna be black lol. also have a new set of skirts that are going back on
-new suspension.. car came with all new balljoints, bushings etc new in a box. have new shocks for it and am going to lower it some
-new gas tank.....came with that too
-stereo system.....going to install the deck in the glove box to keep the dash original
-god knows what else comes up
anyway, here are some pics!!! will make a thread somewhere with my progress. thanks everyone

Welcome to Canadian Poncho. That's a great looking project there.
You've come to a great site to learn if you are not familiar with Canadian Pontiacs.
I came here thinking I was quite knowledgeable on these cars, and boy was I wrong!

Welcome aboard. Nice looking specimen. Bit of work ahead of you but it sounds like you already know that and are up to the challenge.
That non original console sure does blend in nicely.
Lots of friendly folks and help on here. Also own a 65.

That looks fantastic !
I'd say that the console and buckets are pure Pontiac - look like 1980 Grand Prix...............
