I'm looking for the following outside door mirror and mounting hardware.
GM part number #994842
Casting number in mirror base may be P29036950
This is a chrome mirror that fits the passenger side of the following GM cars:
If anyone spots one of these cars in a wrecker, please check for the mirror.
1976 - 77 Chevy Vega,
1979 - 81 Monza / Chevette,
1979 Skyhawk / Starfire,
1979 - 80 Sunbird.

Oh I wish you would have mentioned this a week sooner. I spent 6 hours in a yard on Saturday, it's full of 60's and 70's stuff. There's a slight chance I'll get back there this year and I can sure watch for one.

Not a problem Carl,
I spotted a couple on ebay for sale, but over $250.U.S.is a bit rich for a"want"not need item.
Eventually I (or you maybe) will run across the mirror somewhere.
