I was looking for a 1969 era cast ROBERTSON MOTORS EMBLEM and it showed a pic of one on this website in a forum about dealership emblems.Ray White of toronto was the owner of the pic.If anyone knows of one or if Ray has one for sale can you contact me.Thank you
Robertson was the selling dealer for my 69 442 rag. Never got the docs on the car but it had over 20 options. I understand it may be for sale with the existing owner @ $40,000.oo

Mine is not for sale. Robertson was our local Chev/Olds dealer which was about 10 blocks from my home. My Dad and I both purchased Chevrolets there. It was on Danforth Avenue just west of Coxwell on the south Side in East end Toronto.
Typical of these old dealerships the Service bays were on the second floor originally and cars had to be driven up a ramp to the service area. Over the years buildings were expanded and a separate showroom across the street was built.
When the original building was demolished and new housing infilled the construction crew found and old 45 gallon drum in the foundation and inside was the body of a woman, police were able to identify the remains and reported that she had been working in the Oldest profession on earth and had been murdered shortly after WWII.

I think it was about 1991 or 92 that they tore down Robertson. Yes, I remember what Ray said. It accounted for a 50 year-old unsolved missing person report. The showroom side of the street on the east side is now a parking lot and a park, while the west side is all condos. The site as it looks today: Robertson site
I remember they were still using the cast dealer emblems through the 1970s and into the 80s. I remember them saying "Old Reliable" in addition to "Robertson". Since all the old 80's era Cutlass Cieras have been scrapped I haven't seen a dealer emblem for Robertson in years. You never know though, sometimes on the Danforth I see the odd untouched old relic with 1973-issued plates and a dealer emblem, like a '73 Monte Carlo I saw at The Big Carrot, or a dented-up '72 Cutlass near Ray's place.

Good shot Cam, the park and parking lot were the location of the used cars and new car showroom while the mixed use commercial and housing was the original building which housed parts and service and a large holding yard to the rear.

Ray, Thanks for the information. If you hear of any for sale please contact me.I thought with the dealership around for 50 years and in the city of Toronto that there should be some out still left out there.
"These for both cars & trucks, most are mounted on display boards for your Man cave garage or for sale at auto car show flea markets, Hang on wall or under tables for display. Great start for Automobilia collectors and hobbyists, lots different makes, most from 60's up to 80's, few are from 1950's. Used and New. Mostly good used & can be put back on vehicles or just for wall display. Count not confirmed but roughly 850 to 900 pieces-would need recount to confirm? Prefer to sell 1 lot -average price out to 50 cents each. Would consider selling by make but more work so price would be higher! Note photos do not show all pieces-have some other boards+ boxes. Open for discussion and or offers. If any interest contact me."
