I noticed today that my "new" front tires (3000 miles) that I put on when I bought my car have a slight bit of wear on the inside and I when I run my hand both directions on them I can feel the difference between the two directions. I know some of my original front bushings are showing their age, so I guess I know my project this winter.
My question is, does someone have alignment specs for 66 B body with radial tires that is known to be good specs? I know I've seen some discussion on this on different forums but I need to know what specs to get this done to. From what I recall, the stock specs don't work on these B bodies with radial tires.

If I was you I wouldnt worry about them. This way they will wear out close to the same time as the rear ones!

We don't have any grandkids yet but I'm driving it like a grandpa already.... I think I've heard the back tires all of a half dozen times since I put the 427 in!

I've used the stock settings on my 1970 cars with radial tires, but if I recall they put in a bit more caster. I'll double check on that though.

I have not had any problems with the alignments done on 2 of my cars after redoing all of the bushings and asking the alignment shop to follow this tip.

I just had mine aligned this spring. Ill try and find the sheet.

Found it. Do Not use the Before measurements or you will be in big trouble. Lol. I had just changed spindles and alignment was way out.

Here's the sheet from my convertible after redoing the steering, suspension & brakes. The work order said to put in maximum caster, and you'll see it's at 2.1 & 2.2 degrees.
just switched from bias to radial on my 68 Chevy II Carl - the alignment shop adjusted the caster to plus 3 degrees over original specs both sides and it drives great, I imagine the same principle would apply to your 66

We have a great machine at work, very new and our guy enjoys doing the alignments, but stuff like this helps.
I was talking to Beaumontguru today. We did an alignment on his 64 A body wagon a little while back and he says it drives nice. I will have to see what they did for specs on his to get an idea if they increased caster on it.

I will be heading Rosenort way in the near future as I changed my front bushings. I used AC Delco bushings from Rock Auto in the front end and it needs an alignment real bad.

Make sure everything is in good shape before you come out. It's always frustrating for a customer when they show up and then we can't do an alignment because a tie rod, ball joint, idler arm or whatever is so loose we can't do a good alignment until it's changed.
