I ended up getting a Chevelle steering wheel from the states as they seem to have made them from a more flexible material which didnt crack in the cold. Then I sourced a Beaumont horn button which is a little tougher to find. (Im sure I can did out a chrome horn ring minus the button if youre in need.) Theres also a red wheel in need of extensive refurbishing in a 65 Strato Chief at an Edmonton wreckers which may or may not be similar?
Thank you for the info. Ill check out the chevelle wheels

I ordered a complete repop black wheel for my 66. Iam having no luck finding a black 65 wheel repop or good used one

The 65 Parisienne wheel will fit but the hub but is smaller in depth and will leave a significant gap between the wheel and the column. A '66 wheel is deeper in the hub area. I had a '66 Chevelle wheel on my '65 Chevelle and it had the same issue, big gap at the column The wheel for a '65 is not reproduced and is difficult to find in good condition. I have a '64/65 standard wheel from a Chevelle (no chrome inserts-4) restored in black if anyone is interested. My 2 cents!
Good price but expensive shipping. When totalled up still a fair price I think. You can see that its a more rubberlike black material that is less likely to have the big cracks. (This wheel looks virtually identical to a blue one I bought off the Chevelle forum items for sale site. A survivor quality wheel for my survivor car. They can of course be refurbished.)
