Does anyone have a diagram showing an exploded view of the 1968 Grand Parisienne or Grand Prix hideaway headlight set-up that they could post? Much appreciated if someone could. Thanks!

I'll see what I can do. I have a whole setup, and it came with some paperwork but I don't know if it was an exploded view. I don't think so.
Actually, that diagram is for a GTO, hideaways werent an option on Bonneville...but thanks!

Here's my thread, unfortunately no diagram yet but will keep checking. The nutshell is the chrome is the same, it's the headlight mounts, grills, headlight switch and vacuum can.
Thanks Mike! That is helpful, however, I still am hoping for an assembly diagram.

I'm pretty sure my paperwork doesn't have an exploded view, and it's really hard to get to at this time of year as it's in the rafters above my convertible. However, I'll check my parts books as they should have a drawing.

Thanks Clint! That is what I was hoping...someone having a parts book like the one I have for my 69. It contains lots of exploded views of different assemblies. No rush!

This is from the parts book. Is it any help?
And by the way, I do have the 68 Canadian Pontiac B body assembly manual for sale if you are restoring a car. Great resource!
Interesting, while it appears to be very similar I already notice a difference in the way it's assembled in one spot. Which brings up the question, is the 68 Grand Prix system the same as 68 Grande Parisienne?

Yes looks very similar, here is a scan from the Canadian Pontiac shop manual:

Now something from left field: Have you noticed on the 68 bumper that the left hand headlight rings and the right hand headlight rings are different? The one tab near the retainer spring on the bucket moves to the other side of the spring.

Nothing too Grande! Since moving to Florida, I have been picking up some old parts and restoring them. I picked up a set of '68 GP headlight doors a couple weeks ago to restore and just wanted to see how the whole unit (with bumper) went together. I have put together a few '68-'69 GTO set-ups, but never a GP. Thanks again for the help everyone!
