I've read that JJ stamped into the rim designates an offset suitable for disc brakes. Can anyone confirm? I'm looking at a set of 14 x 6 rally rims for my 68 which are stamped JJ.
thanks,
Brian

Hey Brian.
Just saw this post.
This thread can be confusing, and a lot aof people will all have differing opinions.
However, Just for clarity, the JJ code is stamped on the inside of many wheels, so it does not help with identifying the application. It actually identifies the type of rim contour, according to the Chevy by the Numbers book. The code that will ID the application is stamped on the outside near the valve stem opening.
Typically if you have 14 X 6 rims they probably will not fit over Disc brakes.
Since your original post is over 4 months old and got no replies, Can you update me as to what you may have discovered since then??

The rims on my car right now are 15 X 7
They DO fit over disc brakes.
