I met a guy at a cruise night with some steering issues in his car. He has manual steering, 283 cu inch. i am trying to help him source some parts, my understanding 67-70 full size have the same front end. He needs a center link and steering box for sure, will put him in contact with norm for the Center link but wondering about the steering box and best place to source. Assume full size chev 67-70 would fit, not sure about the differences between manual and PS boxes.

When I had my 67 Impala box rebuilt the rebuilder was into stock car racing and informed me I could get what ever ratio I wanted. He even offered to redo the box if I didnt like the ratio. Mine was power steering. It now is 2.25 turns lock to lock. Toronto rebuilder.

I did a quick look on rockauto.com and both new and rebuilt manual steering boxed are available. I suggest also taking a look at NAPA and your local auto parts store.

John Stewart power brake in Stoney Creek Ontario can probably rebuild it no issue.
