Hi... Anyone replaced their side windows on a 66 sedan? They sit in a rubber insulator in the bottom channel that mounts to the regulator.
What lubricant do you use to get the bottom of the glass in the rubber? I've tried Windex, soap and water... The seal is friction fit and is GD hard to start!!!!
Any help would be appreciated..

Are you talking glass setting channel? Glass sits in the bottom channel with a felt/rubber glaze that wraps around it? Use dish soap and a good rubber mallet to pound it into the channel. Did my 66 side window glass this way. Lots of dish soap and pound like H#ll.....it will go.

When i did the side glass on my 64, I used ammonia free foaming glass cleaner., an old towel and two ratchet straps and squeezed the frame into the setting tape.
