Wow, that's very generous Kelly. I know you've put a lot of work into this over the years. I don't have my '66 anymore, but I can still appreciate it. Thank you.

Such an interesting technology. That scan of your housing looks really nice. And it's really great of you to offer it up.
I had a small interior trim part with a guy looking to have it 3D reproduced. Unfortunately he could not do it and was totally apologetic about it. Said his scanner wasn't suitable for the part.
I know nothing about it, but sure wish I did.

I just printed one with a high quality setting.. (17 plus hours to print.. hahahahaha) and it turned out really well.. I'm now printing 2 at once so the print time was over 35 hours..
I'm going to give one the "poor mans chrome" and see how it turns out.
looking great Kelly, what if you connect it to 220v ? will it cut the time in Half

Kelly, is the plastic used making these UV-resistant? How about cold weather? Just curious.
Amazing what you have done ... automobile alchemy!

A big shout out to Kelico for making these. When compared side by side to the originals the lenses and housings are Bang On. I am super impressed with the quality and hoping to find somewhere to have the housings plastic chromed. For those of us who can't find aftermarket replacements this gives us a great option.
THANK YOU KELLY

Thank you.. I really appreciate that.
I cant seem to get the cars out of my blood.. so.. this is a way to learn some of the newest tech..and still keep my "feet wet" in the old car restoration...
I havent done any research into the UV resistance of the housings.. but the cold weather should be ok for sure.
there are a ton of different filaments available now.. there's even a Copper filled filament.

Kelly, that was generous on your part to invest much time & money into this project, and then share the fruits of your labour. This can make a real difference to somebody trying to find these next-to-impossible backup light housings. They almost seem common to other Pontiacs, like a '64 Pontiac. Maybe not, as the bumper contour dictates design to some degree.

Hi there. so even though I spent over 500.00 on getting a decent scan of this housing for printing purposes.
I posted the file on a site for 3D printer owners for free. so if you have access to a printer.. it's FREE..
I cant remember how to make the link active.. but heres the site.
