Arrived 4 pm from up north in Hearst Ont ,was snowing like crazy when loaded into trailer [enclosed] and was still covered in snow when it got here!! 74 Grandville Brougham convertible 455 4bbl & "LOADED" originally a southern car, built in Fairfax Kansas, 64,500 miles not a tick in engine & a "mean " dual exhaust!! Have sent away to PHS in Michigan to get the build sheet and info on it. A couple of marks in paint but nothing serious, may buff out?
Very nice. Saw it on Kijiji when you first mentioned you were thinking about something new.

Congrats on the new ride Pete. I was expecting a mid 60's 4spd car... However this appears to be a very cool car. Enjoy!

Indeed, although Big Pontiacs didn't offer a manual trans version since March, 1971.
If you want to add a pedal to your '74, Pontiac offered adjustable pedals starting (& ending) with 1974 Big Cars.
Perhaps Pontiac was seriously thinking of the possibility of the NHTSA making seats non-adjustable (!) as proposed in the early 70's. It was to do with drivers being out of position, or seat belts being positioned wrong, upcoming airbags or some silly thing. The proposed roll-over standards were going to kill convertibles & hardtops, but it didn't pass.

cool car there..close to the colour i'm going to paint my
62 Impala [metallic sandalwood/hot-rod black roof].Ya you need a 4
speed but a 200r4 out of a monty. It will fit a BOP and take care of
the mileage issue. imho convertibles are cruisers and have to be
automatics.
